Abstract
1. A tubular electrode for electrolytic processes, in particular an anode for galvanic processes or cathodic anticorrosive protection, comprising a conductor of a material of good electrical conductivity, which is ensheated by a tubular valve metal element which is connected to the conductor in an electrically conductive manner and whose surface facing away from the conductor is provided with a coating of electrocatalytic material, characterized in that the electrically conductive connection between the conductor (1) and the valve metal element (2) is established via at least two composite elements (4) arranged with mutual spacing, each composite element (4) comprising a portion (5) of valve metal and a portion (6) of copper, aluminium or an alloy based on one of these metals and that the valve metal portion (5) with the valve metal element (2) and the portion (6) of copper, aluminium or the alloy, annularly surround the conductor (1) and are connected to the conductor in an electrically conductive and mechanically secure manner.
