Abstract

An improved support structure for floors in construction has steel profiles (2) filled with concrete and fitted between upright supports (1). The profiles have outer trough shaped flanges (5) to carry flooring panels (3) and are strengthened by steel rods (20). The support flanges are rolled over extensions of the steel profile and the trough profiles are filled with a fire retarding material, e.g. concrete, mineral wool etc. Steel support plates (14) are fitted over the support flanges and are secured by profiled ends located into slots and cut outs in the steel profile.
