Abstract

The centrifugal pump (10), and especially a submerged pump, has a running wheel (28) within a spiral housing (14). The pump housing has bearing carrier housings (20) for at least one bearing (30,31) for the pump shaft (24) with the wheel, which passes through at least one additional bearing carrier housing (20a) at the other end with the coupling to a drive (42). A connecting tube (36) is around the pump shaft between the bearing housings. At least one pressure relief drilling (38) is in the wall of the connecting tube, shrouded at the interior by an angled hollow profile (60), parallel to the shaft axis (A) and at a radial gap from the pump shaft.
