Abstract

The invention relates to a pump device (10) for treating liquids according to the principle of reverse osmosis, whereby two pumps are connected to a shaft and driven by a common motor, and a first pump delivers liquids into the casing of a second pump. A multi-stage first centrifugal pump (1.1) delivers a liquid with high pressure into a collecting chamber (17). The collecting chamber (17) comprises an inlet opening (18) for an additional supply (14) of highly pressurized liquid, and a second centrifugal pump (6.1), which is designed for high pump capacities (6.1) and low pressure increases is connected to the collecting chamber (17).
