Abstract

A cartridge projectile (1) is fired by a medium-caliber handgun (30) and, upon impacting a target, acts as a kinetic energy projectile and bursts at its soft front projectile part (10) whereby releasing and spraying an active substance (17) stored inside the projectile body (9, 10). The necessary aiming accuracy is achieved by a pulse body (4), which contains a propellant charge (6) and by a gyroscopic stabilization in the rifling (31) of the firearm (30). The projectile is particularly suited for being specifically used with non-lethal active substances, particularly against individual rioters and aggressive demonstrators. .
