Abstract

The mechanism has a differential gear (16) with an output ratchet (18) driven in two directions during winding and unwinding of a mainspring. Two display units are coupled to the ratchet and are terminated by needles (32a, 32b). Each display unit is moved successively by a counting wheel (21), which is driven by the ratchet, to respectively indicate lower and upper fractions of a power reserve of the mainspring. One of the display units is constituted by a friction wheel (24), a pinion (25), a setting wheel (26) and a rotating display unit (27), and the other display unit is constituted by an intermediate wheel (28), a pinion (29) and a rotating display unit (30).
