Abstract
1. Selective protective device for the selective disconnection of consuming devices, comprising at least one main circuit breaker (14) with a first tripping characteristic and at least one circuit breaker (26), associated with a group of consuming devices, with a second tripping characteristic which lies below the first tripping characteristic, in which the main circuit breaker (14) comprises a disconnecting point in its current path, which disconnecting point is opened by a percussion armature upon the occurrence of an excess or short-circuit current and can quickly be automatically closed again when the current falls below a certain value, a summing tripping device (48) being provided which, as a function of the short-circuit current or of the opening or closing operations of the main circuit breaker (14), acts on the switch latch (50, 104/106) when a predetermined total value is reached, which switch latch (50, 104/106) finally opens the disconnecting point, using thermal and magnetic tripping devices, characterised in that the summing tripping device (48) consists of the series connection or parallel connection or series and parallel connection of a branch, forming from the line current Intg i**2 dt, and a trip coil (54; 72), disposed in a parallel branch (44) to the current path (16; 18) of the main circuit breaker (14), into which parallel branch (44) the current is at least partially switched by a change-over device (40) arranged in the current path (16; 18) upon the occurrence of a short-circuit current.
