Abstract

A low-voltage switching device comprises means of protection against overcurrents due to short circuits and/or overload. A tripping piece (21) is engaged by means of a catch (27) on a contacting lever (14) and presents a supporting face (25) for the mobile element (38) of a magnetic and/or thermal tripping device. The tripping piece (21) is articulated directly to the hand lever (19) and its respective trajectories when released due to a defect and when released by the hand lever are at least partly distinct.
