Abstract

The hatch is for an armored vehicle and has a cover outwardly pivotable around a horizontal axis. At least one view plate (3,4) of transparent material is on the inside of the hatch facing the hatch cover (1). The hatch cover is pivotable into a partly open position, in which it can be secured. In this position, the view plate covers at least a part of the gap between an edge (1.1,1.2) of the hatch cover and the opposite edge (2.1,2.2) of the hatch opening (2). On the hatch cover at least one viewing device (6) permits vision when the hatch cover is closed.
