Abstract

1. Coil bobbin for electromagnetically operated switching devices, consisting of at least one coil holder (1, 2; 24 to 27) made from plastics material and at least one coil winding (40, 41) located on the outside of the coil holder, in which case the coil holder comprises a hollow member open at both opposing end faces, of rectangular cross section and formed by rectangular side walls (3, 4; 5 to 8) and likewise rectangular flange edges (9 to 12) at the end faces of the hollow member projecting outwards at right angles to the side walls, which edges have dimensions such that they form the lateral boundary for the coil winding, characterised in that in a plane of division (13), which extends at right angles to the flange edges (9, 10, 11, 12) and through two opposing side walls (5, 6, 7, 8), the coil holder is divided into two symmetrical coil holder halves (1, 2), which are connected to each other in one piece by two flexible hinge strips (16, 17), which seen in the opened out position of the two coil holder halves (1, 2), are provided to extend exclusively between two opposing corners of the flange edges (9, 10; 11, 12) in the region of the plane of division (13) and that remaining design of the coil holder is arranged so that in the opened out position, the coil holder can be produced exclusively between two die-cast shaped parts.
