Abstract

The controlling and regulating apparatus is for a gas burner (2), to which the air required for combustion is supplied by an air fan (4). The amount of gas supplied to the burner is controlled by a fuel valve (3). There is at least one gas pressure monitor (7) in flow direction behind the fuel valve. The controlling and regulating apparatus (1) sets the revolutions of the fan as a function of the signal supplied by the gas pressure monitor. The fan runs at a certain rate while the gas volume flow is smaller than a preset value and at a higher rate when it exceeds this value.
