Abstract

1. A press for producing pellets from loose bulk material, which comprises an annular female die having a plurality of radial press channels and within it a coaxial, non-rotatable holder of pressrolls of which each by its circumference almost touches the die, characterised in that a wheel (15) is mounted on the shaft (5) of the die (2), which wheel (15) is provided with circumferential lugs or projections (16) whilst on the press housing (1) there is provided an hydraulic ram (17) which is movable in the plane of said wheel in opposition to spring loading in such a manner as to be capable of intermittently rotating the wheel by tangential thrust engaging in each case behind one of said lugs or projections (16).
