Abstract

The clamp (1), without a screw, has a spring section (2) to hold a component (6, 9) such as a current rail (6) and carrier rail (9) against a base (8), to give a mechanical or electrically conductive clamping action as required. The spring (2) is compact, and is shaped for a moving leg (3) so that on clamping it transmits force over its cross section to the other leg of the spring (2), across its cross section. The movement of the spring (2) is restricted across the cross section or vertically, and in the cross section plane. The clamp can be inserted into a polyethylene connection clamp as a series clamp at the holding foot for a carrier rail.
