Abstract

The conductor clamp has a current rail and at least one clamp spring (7) attached at one end to the current rail (1) its opposite end incorporating a clamp opening through which the end of the current rail (1) projects. The conductor (6) is clmaped between the bottom edge of the clamp opening and the underside of the current rail (1) so that it is pressed into contact with the latter. The projecting end (14) of the current rail (1) is bent upwards and has a stop edge (15) cooperating with a counter-edge (17) of the clamp spring (7) to hold the clamp in the open position for insertion of the conductor (6).
