Abstract
For the purpose of reliable safety monitoring of the ratio of the quantity of fuel to air in oil, gas or dual-fuel burners, a two- channel set point/actual value comparison with automatic fault detection is carried out in order to maintain a respectively predetermined fuel/air ratio without direct measurement of the mass flows of fuel and furnace air.
