   Es sind Doppeldampfbacköfen mit Oberhitzekanälen bekannt, durch welche die Abgase, nachdem sie die   Dampfröhren   erhitzt haben,   hiridurohgeleitet   werden. Diese Abgase kommen von einem vor der Rückwand des Backofens montierten und von einem Gehäuse    eingesclilossenen'Brenner. Hiebei   geht ein Teil der erzeugten Wärme'nutzlos verloren. 



   Zur Verminderung dieser Wärmeverluste sind gemäss der Erfindung die zu beheizenden   Heizroh-   enden für die Unterhitze und der Gasbrenner in einem aus Schamotte oder   ähnlichemMaterial   hergestellten Wärmespeicher   untergebr. acht,   der die Abgase des Brenners den die Oberhitze erzielenden Kanälen zuführt. Durch die Einwirkung des Wärmespeichers auf die Heizrohre wird der Wärmerückgang in den   Backräumen   verlangsamt. In der Zeichnung zeigt Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt eines Doppeldampfbackofens mit Wärmespeicher und Fig. 2 stellt den in der Richtung A-B geschnittenen Wärmespeicher dar. 



   Die beiden Backräume a und b erhalten ihre Grundhitze von den Dampfheizröhren c und d. In der den Gasbrenner enthaltenen Feuerungskammer ist der Wärmespeicher e eingebaut, welcher zwei Reihen von Ausnehmungen aufweist, von denen die untere die Brenner-mit den unteren Heizröhren, die oberen die andern Heizröhren aufnimmt. Zwischen den Ausnehmungen sind senkrechte   Kanäle t   vorgesehen, durch die die Abgase der Gasbrenner k streichen und Wärme an den Wärmespeicher e abgeben, von dem allmählich die aufgespeicherte Wärme an die Oberhitze (Kanäle   9   und h) und die Heizrohre c und d abgegeben wird.
