Process for the continuous washing of tricalcium saccharate.
The subject of the invention is a method for the continuous washing of tricalcium saccharate.
Liquid containing de1'ffrikalziumsaccharat, which was obtained as it was in the precipitation process or is subjected to the washing process in a more or less concentrated form. the length filtered off in the individual washing stages is added in several successive process stages with gradually falling non-sugar content. The washing liquor is advantageously supplied in equal amounts

is approximately the same before and after passing through a process step, whereas the non-sugar content of the solution is reduced after passing through.
The liquor flowing out of the press for separating the saccharate from the liquor can also be used as washing liquid in individual process stages, this liquor optionally
EMI1.2
water can be used as washing liquid, as is already known for the elimination process.
As a result of the fact that the calcium saccharate with its entire Mutteilauge, as it was obtained through the precipitation process, or in a more or less concentrated form, which can be achieved. that initially more mother liquor is withdrawn than washing liquor is added, whereby the concentration can only go so far that the tricalzum saccharate is still mixed with as much liquid.

be prevented. In contrast to this, the lime which has reacted during the washing process will have a precipitating effect on the monosaccharate still in the mother liquor and washing liquor, and part of it will be precipitated as tricalcium acid.
The method is used either in such a way that the individual washing stages are carried out in several separate washing apparatuses or that the washing process is carried out immediately in the precipitating apparatus, which is made usable for the washing process by inserting a filtering apparatus.
In the drawing, two systems for performing the method are shown, for example, u. FIG. 1 shows a system with separate washing devices for each washing stage, while FIG. 2 illustrates a system for washing in the precipitator.
In the system according to FIG. 1, three washing devices A, C are provided. which are similarly

from which the solution passes through a line 1 into a screw conveyor S, which opens into the next washing vessel. The lines 13, 14 lead from the overflow funnel of the last washing vessel via an intermediate pump Ps to the press P, which separates the saccharate from the liquor.

is discharged. By adding washing liquor, the solution almost reaches that concentration again. which she possessed when she entered machine A while her sugar content is reduced.
The sugar-lime milk pre-washed in this way passes through the overflow funnel x1 and the line l1 into the screw conveyor SI ′ which conveys it into the cylinder M2 of the second washing apparatus B. The sugar-lime milk rising in the cylinder M2. which assumes a higher concentration due to the outflow of filtered alkali, is added by the pump P4 through the lines d1, d2 washing liquor from the container 9s, in which you can see the liquor that has flowed out of the press P and diluted by adding water fed through the line m is located. The non-sugar content of this liquor is very low.
EMI2.4
The concentration of wash liquor and the filtered liquor transferred to L2 is the same as that of the solution on entry into the apparatus, but the non-sugar content is further reduced.

leads via the pump Pg to the line n between the cooling and collecting tanks of the precipitator.
A line (not shown) leads from the container Qi to the drainage channel or to the evaporation of the caustic solution.
In this construction of the system, the method of operation is as follows: After the end of the felling process in the felling apparatus, the filter apparatus J is let into its collecting container G by means of the pulley system 0. The volume of the same is dimensioned according to the desired concentration of the precipitated solution to be achieved, which depends on the amount of liquor displaced or discharged by the filter apparatus.
As soon as the necessary amount of lye has flowed through the hose N and the line q into the container Q1 after the filtering apparatus J has been completely brought into the collecting container G of the precipitating apparatus. H. the desired concentration of the sugar-lime milk has been reached, the washing work is started by introducing washing liquor at a point of the precipitator which is advantageously remote from the filter apparatus, that is to say in the cooling container E. As in the case of the system according to FIG. 1, washing liquor is also supplied here in such an amount as liquor is being removed through the filtering apparatus J in the same time. The first washing liquor is taken from the container Q2, from where it is conveyed into the cooling container E through the line t by the pump Pg.
The drain line q
EMI3.2
is connected to the tank Q3 by the line q3. After the container Q2 has been emptied, the pump P3 again introduces washing liquor into the precipitator from the container U1, in which there is diluted waste water from the press 77 with a lower non-sugar content than the liquor removed from the container Q2. After the container Q3 has received approximately the same amount of waste eye as is contained in the container (, the lye that continues to flow out of the filter apparatus is passed through the line q4 into the container Q4. The lye collected in this container is used as a batch liquid for the next precipitation process used.

and thereby further wash liquor removed from the container U2. The lye flowing out of the filtering apparatus during this washing stage continues to flow into container Q4 until it has received the amount of lye required for the next precipitation process, after which the filtering apparatus is lifted out of the precipitating apparatus. From the container into the felling apparatus! L no matter how much detergent solution

Concentration of the solution is reached. The ready-washed sugar lime milk is now conveyed by the pump P2 through the line o to the press H, from where the waste eye flows off into the vessel T and is fed through the line r to the containers U and U2.
For the next following precipitation process, line u is connected to container Q4, from which the batch liquid contained in this container is brought into the precipitation apparatus by pump P6.
The method described for step-by-step and continuous washing can also be used in the manner of the known precipitation work with two sugar solutions of different strengths
