Dampfheizung.

Steam heating.
The invention relates to a device in a steam heating system, which allows the passage of the steam water from the main line into the heating system when the heating system is heated, but excludes it when the heating system is cold, so that no ice can form in the heating system even at low outside temperatures, while on the other hand the Drainage of the main line via the heating system can be done without damage if it is heated. For this purpose there is a special shut-off device for regulating the Da. Mpfwasserüberittes provided from the main line in the heating system, which shut-off device is controlled depending on the temperature in the heating system.
In the drawing, an embodiment of such a device is shown in its application to a low-pressure heater with a thermostatic controller. In the main line 1, a pot 2 serving to take up the steam water is connected through a pipe reaching close to its bottom. 1 and is connected to the valve housing 5 by a pipe 4 connected to its upper part. In this a valve 6 is arranged, which tries to shut off the steam line 4 under the action of the spring 7, but if it is moved against the action of the spring 7, the steam water line J shuts off. A second valve 8, which controls the entry of steam into the heating system, is influenced in a known manner by the rod 9 of a thermostatic regulator.
This rod 9, which has a low coefficient of expansion, is screwed into the cap 10 at the end of the tube 11 which has a large coefficient of expansion. A second concentric tube 12 is arranged inside the tube 11 and is connected to the exhaust line of the heating system.
When the heating system is cold, the pipe 11 is shortened and holds the valve 8 open by means of the rod g, which in turn rests against the rod 14 of the valve 6 and holds it against the action of the spring 7 in that position in which it is the steam water pipe. 1 concludes. When the heating is in operation, the steam flows from the main line 1 through the line 4 via the valves 6 and 8 to the radiators. The steam water coming from the radiators flows through the opening 15 and the nozzle 16 into the open, while the steam flows through the pipe 12 and then through its opening 17
