Process for the production of blue, negative light pass papers.
It is known that in the production of blue, negative tracing papers using iron salts, e.g. B. Alkaliferrioxalaten to add these free oxalic acid to make the white lines stand out better. However, this intended purpose is not achieved; the paper produced in this way has a number of disadvantages that exclude its use as a commercial product.
EMI1.1
worth to; it has to be exposed as a manual sample after preparation. otherwise it would not produce any satisfying copies.
According to the present invention, an addition of a neutral alkali metal oxalate is added to the iron salt. practical in a strength of 10-205. As an exemplary embodiment it should be mentioned: 1 to 2 kg of potassium or sodium oxalate are used as a substitute for lemon acid ferric ammonia
EMI1.2
In a known manner a solution of Ferrizygankali was added. The two solutions are mixed and diluted to 16 Bé. The paper prepared with it has precisely opposite properties. such as that obtained by the method mentioned at the beginning using free oxalic acid.
EMI1.3
According to the invention, the method is expanded to this extent. that the iron salt. to which, as mentioned above, 10-205 of a neutral alkali metal oxalate are added, in addition a simple acid salt is also added, the neutral salt being in excess in the mixture. while the acid salt is contained in it as a fraction. In this case the excess of neutral oxalate in relation to the acidic oxalate has a preservative effect. so that a special moisturizer is not required.
In the preparation of this mixture, it is expedient to proceed in such a way that alkali or alkali carbonate is neutralized with oxalic acid and then an excess of oxalic acid which is favorable to the process is added; z. B. 126 g of oxalic acid are neutralized with alkali or alkali carbonate, and then 20-25 g of oxalic acid are added.
The same goes for the potassium salt, sodium salt. Ammonia salt and other easily soluble oxalic acid salts. In addition to oxalic acids, other acids also have a beneficial effect as additives to the neutral salts. such as B. lactic acid. Acetic acid. Tartaric acid, citric acid. The same effect has the addition of inorganic acids and acid salts, which are easily soluble in corresponding amounts, or of organic acids and their acid salts, which are easily soluble. In addition, neutral alkali salts of organic acids also have a beneficial effect.
The process can be carried out in the factory; it is a complete substitute for the lemon process, which is not well practicable because of the high price and the difficulty of obtaining citric acid.
