Der Hosenspanner besteht aus 2 Bügeln B1, B2, 2 Federn Fi, F2 mit Einhängehaken Cl, C2 für die Ringe, 2 Ringen a1, a2 und dem Aufhängehaken H. Es sind also insgesamt mit Ausnahme des Aufhängehakens H nur 3 verschiedene Teile, die doppelt ausgefertigt werden müssen, zur Herstellung des Hosenspanners erforderlich. Das hiezu verwendete Material, mit Ausnahme der Federn, ist harter Eisendraht 2#5 mm im Durchmesser.
Der Vorgang bei der Verwendung des Hosenspanners (s. Fig. 1) ist folgender :
