Die äusseren dieser Klappen sind zweckmässig mit einer Seitenwand je versehen, so dass der Schlitz 12 vollkommen nach aussen abgeschlossen ist und ein für die Hühner schädlicher kalter Luftzug nicht in das Innere des Hauses eintreten kann.
Wesentlich ist, dass im Oberteil der Vorderwand 5 des Hauses Fenster 15 angeordnet sind, deren Zweck im Nachstehenden noch beschrieben werden soll.
Eine verschliessbare Ausgangsöffnung 16 für das Geflügel und eine Tür 17 zum Betreten des Hauses sind in üblicher'Weise angebracht, ebenso können an der Vorderwand noch eine oder mehrere Aufflugleisten 18 vorgesehen sein.
Die Wirkungsweise des Erfindungsgegenstandes ist folgende :
Wenn das Geflügel des Abends in das Hühnerhaus getrieben wird, werden die einzelnen Hühner, da sie stets dem durch die Fenster 15 eintretenden Licht folgen, an den Seiten des Tuches 4 in dem Haus nach vorn kommen und auf dem Weg über die Aufflugleisten 18 auf die unterste Sitzstange 3 und von da auf die oberste dieser Stangen gelangen, da bekanntlich die Hühner bei einer solchen Anordnung sich stets auf die höchste Stange setzen. Auf diese Weise werden in kurzer Zeit die sämtlichen Stangen besetzt sein, wobei sämtliche Hühner mit dem Kopf nach dem Fenster 15 zu gerichtet auf den Stangen sitzen werden, da es ebenfalls eine bekannte Tatsache ist, dass die Hühner sich stets dem Lichte zuwenden.
Die herabfallenden Exkremente werden nun durch das Tuch aufgefangen und infolge der schrägen Neigung desselben herabrinnen und sich in dem Raum unter den Klappen 13 ansammeln, ohne dass ein Verschmutzen des Hühnerhauses selbst stattfindet. Die Anordnung der Fenster 15 bewirkt dabei, dass die Hühner alle gleichgerichtet sitzen, so dass ein gegenseitiges Beschmutzen nicht vorkommen kann.
Trotzdem auf diese Weise das Hühuerhaus im Innern stets rein gehalten wird und eine Reinigung desselben nur noch verhältnismässig selten stattfinden braucht, hat man es trotzdem jederzeit in der Hand, an die Sitzstangen heranzugelangen, um eines der Hühner abzunehmen, indem das Tuch 4 in der in Fig. 1 mit strichpunktierten Linien angedeuteten Weise zusammengefaltet und am Boden niedergelegt wird.
Dadurch ist es möglich, nahe an die Stange heranzutreten und die einzelnen Hühner sicher herauszugreifen.
Bei einer andern Ausführungsform, bei welcher der Schlitz in dem Gebäude vermieden werden soll, kann in dem Tuch selbst an der Unterkante ein Schlitz vorgesehen sein, welcher mit einem weitmaschigen Drahtgeflecht überdeckt ist und den Schmutz an dieser Stelle in einen darunter gestellten Trog od. dgl. hinunterfallen lässt.
Die vorbeschriebene Einrichtung kann für beliebig lange Hühnerhäuxer ohne Schwierigkeit angebrachtwerden, indem nur die Stange 6 entsprechend verlängert und eine grössere Anzahl von Schnüren 9 und Gewichten 7 vorgesehen wird.'Selbstverständlich kann auch die Einrichtung so getroffen sein, dass nicht nur die Vorderseite des Hauses mit den Sitzstangen und dem Schutztuch versehen ist, sondern dass auch die Rückseite in gleicher Weise ausgerüstet ist.
Der Gegenstand der Erfindung soll natürlich nicht auf die besondere dargestellte Bauart des Hauses beschränkt sein, sondern bei jeglicher Art von Hühnerställen Anwendung finden.
Das Wesentliche dabei ist auf jeden Fall die Anordnung des selbstreinigenden Tuches zum Auffangen und Abführen der Exkremente.
