Derartige Bausteine sind bereits bekannt und werden in der Weise verwendet, dass durch Zusammenlegen von zwei Steinreihen im Verbande eine Hohlmauer aus drei durch kurze   schräglaufende Stücke miteinander verbundenen   durchgehenden Wänden entsteht, von denen die beiden äusseren aus nur je einer Steinreihe angehörigen Platten gebildet sind, während die mittlere aus den fluchtrecht nebeneinander liegenden beiden Steinreihen angehörigen kurzen Platten zusammengesetzt ist.

   In dieser Weise zusammengesetzte Mauern sind gut wärmeisolierend, haben jedoch eine verhältnismässig geringe Druckfestigkeit, weil Drucke gegen die Mauer und die dadurch hervorgerufenen   Schubkräfte   nur von dem zwischen den einzelnen Steinen   - befindlichen Mörtel   aufgenommen werden. 



   Durch die Erfindung wird bezweckt, diesen Übelstand zu beseitigen.
