Dadurch kann der Fall eintreten, dass bei Bruch des Bärs dessen Bruchstücke aus der Führung hinausgeschleudert werden und beim Herabfallen die Bedienungsmannschaft verletzen. Diese Gefahr besteht insbesondere bei Federhämmern, da der Bär an der Angriffsstelle des Federwerkes die grösste Beanspruchung erfährt und bei Bruch an dieser Stelle das Bruchstück durch das Federwerk n : : ch

Bei Beginn der Aufwärtsbewegung des Hammerbärs ist das Federwerk unter dem Einflusse des Bärgewichtes abwärtsgebogen. Tritt in diesem Augenblick ein Bruch des Bärs ein, so wird das Federwerk zum Teil entlastet und hat demnach das Bestreben aufwärts zu schnellen. Es ist zweckmässig, die Platte 8 in solcher Höhe anzubringen, dass das aufwärtsgeschleuderte Bruchstück des Bärs gegen. die Platte trifft, bevor noch die Entspannung des Federwerkes vollständig eingetreten ist, um zu verhindern, dass dem Bruchstück eine grosse Beschleunigung erteilt wird.
