When the process is carried out, the yarn is tensioned so tightly without sparing that it has to break when contracted; What does not tear by itself is torn or cut up by the use of mechanical force. If necessary, the pieces of thread are shredded as far as is most favorable for the attack of the shredder.
After the yarn is dissolved again into fibers, these are the card u. s. w. handed over for re-spinning. In contrast to the suggestion mentioned at the beginning, an interrupted spinning process is not continued after mercerization, but the spinning process that has grown to the yarn after mercerization is completely canceled by purposeful destruction of the product and repeated from the beginning.
In the form of the thread fragments, respectively. The mercerized intermediate product can of course still be processed in other ways by dyeing, bleaching and the like after the dissolved fiber s. w. experience that one otherwise yarns, respectively. allows unspun fibers to thrive.
The present method can in particular also be applied to simple, non-lined webs. It is precisely these, when they have been mercerized in the finished state, that experience has shown that they lack the perfect shine that doubled yarns receive.
