Kunstfuss.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i.

Artificial foot.
The new construction shown in the drawing is basically a pillar in
Connection with a separate forefoot part A and a heel part B. Both parts are connected to one another by a lever C which cuts through the stilt and is rotatably mounted in the stilt. One end of the lever Cl receives the cushioned heel part, the other end C2 the forefoot. This end C2 has the shape of a shaft placed in the longitudinal axis of the foot around which the forefoot can rotate laterally. If the heel B is put on while walking, it steps back a little, shifting the spring F, so that the
Stilt D occurs firmly. The forefoot goes into the equinus position. Appearance and handling take place on the stilt.
The new construction combines stability and durability with a soft natural appearance and a good appearance of the artificial foot. Furthermore, the lateral mobility of the foot allows it to nestle against the unevenness of the floor without reducing the stability.
A rubber buffer E or a spring can be used between the stilt and forefoot to achieve the smoothest possible transition from the equinus foot position to the hook foot position. Instead of this or acting in conjunction with this, a rubber buffer G or a second spring can also be inserted above the upper abutment disk H of the spring F.
The rod K, which is provided with an abutment washer J and an adjusting screw and is hinged to the lever C and around which the spring F is wound, passes through this rubber buffer G and the support disk H.
A rod L gripping the axis of the lever C with a thread and adjusting nut M is used to enable readjustment after the joint is worn.
PATENT CLAIMS: i. Artificial foot, characterized in that the forefoot can rotate laterally around a shaft (C2) lying in the longitudinal axis of the foot in order to achieve a good fit on the uneven ground.
