Verfahrung zur Aufspeicherung ungesättigter gasförmiger Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Acetylen.
Es ist bekannt, ungesättigte Kohlenwasserstoffe, die bei Zimmertemperatur gasförmig sind, z. B. Acetylen, dadurch aufzuspeichern, dass man sie unter Druck in Aceton löst.
Versuche der Erfindern haben ergeben, dass andere Ketone, Diäthylketon, Äthylmethylketon und deren höhere Homologe in reiner Form oder in Mischung zum Teil ein höheres Lösungsvermögen für die Gase aufweisen. Diese höheren Ketone gewähren, abgesehen von dem günstigeren Lösungsvermögen, den wesentlichen Vorteil, dass sie bei gleichen Temperaturen niedrigeren Dampfdruck haben als das bisher angewandte Aceton, dass also bei der Entspannung der Kohlenwasserstoffe weniger von dem Lösungsmittel mitverdampft.
Die Ausführung der vorliegenden Erfindung gestaltet sich in der Weise, dass die gebräuchlichen, mit poröser Masse gefüllten Stahlzylinder anstatt mit Aceton mit Diäthylketon, Äthylmethylketon oder einem höheren einfachen oder oft gemischten Keton bzw. mit Mischungen dieser Stoffe untereinander oder mit Aceton gefüllt werden und sodann, wie üblich, Acetylen unter Druck eingepresst wird, bis Sättigung eingetreten ist.

It is known to use unsaturated hydrocarbons which are gaseous at room temperature, e.g. B. Acetylene, to be stored by dissolving it under pressure in acetone.
Experiments by the inventors have shown that other ketones, diethyl ketone, ethyl methyl ketone and their higher homologues in pure form or in a mixture, in some cases, have a higher solubility for the gases. Apart from their more favorable dissolving power, these higher ketones have the essential advantage that they have a lower vapor pressure than the acetone previously used at the same temperature, so that less of the solvent evaporates when the hydrocarbons are expanded.
The embodiment of the present invention is designed in such a way that the customary steel cylinders filled with porous mass are filled with diethyl ketone, ethyl methyl ketone or a higher simple or often mixed ketone or with mixtures of these substances with one another or with acetone and then, As usual, acetylene is injected under pressure until saturation has occurred.
