  Kolbenmaschine. 



   Bei der Kolbenmaschine nach dem Stammpatente ist eine den Zylinderdeckel nach aussen durchdringende Schieberstange vermittelst mindestens einer Egpansionskammer abgedichtet, in welche die aus dem Zylinder längs der Schieberstange entweichenden Gase expandieren und welche zeitweise zu ihrer Entleerung mit dem Ladungsraum des Zylinders in Vebindung gesetzt wird. Nach vorliegender Erfindung sind Mittel   angeordnet,-um   eine dauernde Entspannung in der Expansionskammer zu erzielen und so einen Überdruck in derselben während der Kompression, Explosion und Auspuff des Zylinders zu vermeiden. 



   In der Zeichnung ist der Gegenstand der Erfindung in einem Ausführungsbeispiel an einer Vierzylinderkolbenmaschine im Schnitt dargestellt. 



   Wenn im Zylinder I Explosion herrscht, ist im Zylinder II Komp-ession, im Zylinder III Auspuff und im Zylinder   IV   Ansaugung. Verbindet man nun die   Expansionskamn1ern   23 der Zylinder   I   und   IV   miteinander-durch ein offenes Leitungsrohr 41, so kann bei Explosion im Zylinder   I   das längs der Schieberstange in die Expansionskammer 23 entweichende Gas sofort durch die Ansaugung in die Expansionskammer 23 des Zylinders   IV

   Zum gleichen Zwecke sind die Expansionskammern 23 der Zylinder   II   und III durch eine offene Leitung 42 miteinander verbunden.

   Diese Ausführungsform lässt sich auch an Kolbenmaschinen mit 6,8,   iz,   16 Zylindern oder einer beliebigen Anzahl von Zylinderpaaren verwenden. 



   Der Zweck der Erfindung lässt sich auch erreichen, wenn man z. B. alle Expansionskammern 23 miteinander verbindet, also unter Wegfall des Rohres 42 zum Rohr   41   noch Rohre 43 und 44 anordnet, wie dies in der Zeichnung durch gestrichelte Linien angedeutet ist.
