EMI1.1

EMI1.1
The invention relates to temperature reporting devices in which one end of a bimetallic lamella with an adjustable contact closes an electrical circuit in which any alarm device or the like is connected when a curvature caused by temperature changes is reached.
According to the present invention, the contact carrier is adjustable so that the contact is opposite one or the other side of the lamella in order to be able to use the device to indicate the occurrence of a mean temperature above and below that of the extended position of the lamella.
In the drawing, the device is illustrated in one embodiment.
FIG. I shows a longitudinal section (according to 1-1 of FIG. 2), while FIG. 2 shows a plan view and FIG. G shows a section according to II-11 of FIG.
The device consists of a footplate a made of insulating material, which is provided with a tab b for attachment to the point to be monitored. On a base c a bimetallic lamella d is attached by means of a shoe e, on whose clamping screw f

Carrier h. which sits in a matching hole in the footplate by means of an angular pin i and is held in place with screws k, one of which clamps the second line end I, the carrier h ends in a nut m for the screw spindle M, which has a head o and a contact button p is provided.
The nut m can be slotted vertically and pulled together with a clamping screw in order to be able to hold the screw spindle n in the height position corresponding to a certain temperature and to be able to secure it against adjustment. Above the threaded part of the screw n there is a circumferential groove in which a ring q provided with two lugs is freely rotatable. The warts have pointers r and slide between guides s when the screw spindle n is rotated so that they can only perform a longitudinal movement. The guides s are expanded to form plates t, on which calculated or empirically determined graduations of the heat scales usually used are plotted. The upper surface of the head o can be provided with partitions that, for. B.
Represent fractions of the divisions located on the plates t, in which case an index it is provided.
If it is assumed that the lower metal of the lamella d has the greater coefficient of expansion, the lamella will bend as the temperature rises in such a way that its concave side points upwards. Its free end rises and will come into contact with the - contact button p, thereby completing the circuit in which the device is located. The degree of heat at which the contact between the contact button p and the lamella d takes place is determined by the height of the button, which can be easily adjusted by means of the screw n and the scales t.
In order to make this device usable for the display of temperatures at which the bimetallic lamella d bends in such a way that its concave side points downwards, the support h can be pulled out of the footplate by I800 after loosening the screws k turned and fixed by reinserting the pin i in the same hole in the footplate using the screws k. A recess v is provided in the footplate a so that the lamella d can deform downwards unhindered. Furthermore, the footplate has special approaches w which are used to attach the device in this latter type of use. The device can, if necessary, be enclosed in a housing provided with openings.
