PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i.

Shredding device with a conical runner.
The subject of the invention is a comminuting device with a conical runner, the grinding cone of which consists of superimposed, ever smaller cone-shaped ones, and the grinding cone consists of cylindrical sheet metal jackets that are also gradually nested into one another, the lower edges of all sheet metal jackets protruding and toothed so that when the rotor rotates the inclined edges of the teeth act like cutting on the grist and at the same time press it down continuously in the downward direction or towards the outlet mouth.
Fig. I shows a vertical section through the shell with a view of the grinding cone in mutual arrangement, FIGS. 2 to 7 show details of the grinding cone and FIGS. 8 and 9 details of the shell.
The comminuting device consists of the inner conical rotor a on the rotating shaft b and of the grinding jacket c, which is attached to the mill wall d. The grinding cone a is made up of a number of conical sheet metal jackets e that are placed one on top of the other and are getting smaller and smaller, all of the lower edges of which protrude in stages and are toothed so that the surface of the grinding cone is serrated in rows, with the lower base of the rows of teeth always being smooth. In the middle of the rotor a core insert g is used to reinforce the metal sheets e and secure the shaft b.
In FIGS. 6 and 7, another embodiment of the composition of the grinding cone is formed from ring-shaped and conical supports g, on which the metal sheets e rest, the teeth of the metal sheets being directed downwards. Several such supports * provided with the toothed metal sheets are becoming smaller in size, are lined up on the shaft and fastened in such a way that the surface of the rotor is also serrated like a saw. The teeth f have inclined cutting edges A, the shape of which is designed according to the rotation of the grinding cone in a single direction or in both directions.
The grinding jacket c is composed of cylindrical sheet metal jackets pushed one inside the other in steps, all of the lower edges of which protrude and are toothed, with. the smooth surface of one sheet metal jacket of the row of teeth of the next smaller sheet metal jacket is always used as the base. The teeth are also designed to match the rotation of the rotor in one or both directions.
When the rotor rotates, the inclined edges of the teeth act on the ground material to be comminuted in the manner of cutting and press the ground material continuously down to the outlet opening. In addition to the slight resharpening of the teeth, the subject matter of the invention also has the advantage that the teeth clean themselves due to the flat and tight fit of the teeth on the smooth base surfaces and the pressure caused by the grinding process.
PATENT CLAIMS: i. Crushing device with a conical rotor, characterized in that the grinding cone consists of conical sheet metal jackets that are slipped one on top of the other and which are getting smaller and smaller, and the grinding jacket also consists of cylindrical sheet metal jackets pushed into one another in stages, the lower edges of the sheet metal jackets protruding and toothed.
