   Es gibt Radbereifungen für Kraftfahrzeuge, die, statt aus Gummi, aus einem Holzringe mit herumgelegten Eisenreifen bestehen. Diese besitzen unter anderem gegenüber den Reifen aus elastischen Stoffen den Vorteil, dass die den Erdboden berührenden Kanten des Eisenringes einen wirksamen Schutz gegen seitliches Gleiten bilden. Der Zweck der Neuerung ist, diesen Vorteil noch weiter zu erhöhen. 



   Es geschieht das dadurch, dass der aus Holz und Eisen bestehende Reifen in zwei oder mehrere einzelne, die Lauffläche bildende Reifen zerlegt wird, die mit einigem Abstande voneinander auf das Rad aufgebracht sind, wodurch infolge der entstehenden Vermehrung der Kanten eine erhöhte Sicherheit gegen seitliches Gleiten bewirkt wird.
