Man erhält z.

Process for improving washing, wetting, leveling, cleaning and the like dgL of all kinds of fiber materials in bleaching, dyeing, printing, etc.

While washing. Dyeing, bleaching and printing of all kinds of fiber materials are added to the washing, bleaching and coloring agents in order to improve the solubility of the chemical òn and on the other hand to facilitate wettability, cleaning, degreasing, leveling of the colors etc. However, most of such remedies have all sorts
Disadvantage ; Sometimes they are too expensive or difficult to obtain, sometimes they damage the fibers due to their alkaline or acidic reaction, sometimes they are not sufficiently water-soluble, too volatile or do not tolerate the addition of well water well.

It has now been found that the heterocyclic bases and their substitution products, namely pyridine and its derivatives, both the free bases and their salts, and their sulfonic acids, alkyl, aryl, amine, nitroso compounds and the like. Like. Offer particular advantages for the purposes mentioned, because they are easily soluble in water and promote the wetting and cleaning of the fiber very much.

One obtains z. B. by mixing pyridine or its salts with water excellent wetting agents and solvents for most impurities in fiber materials, for resins, fats, soaps. Dyes, etc. The free bases and basic compounds are miscible with aqueous or alcoholic, alkaline and soap-containing solutions, as well as with water-insoluble solvents such as carbon disulfide, carbon tetrachloride and others.

The agents mentioned are used, for example, in quantities of o 'bis per liter of liquor in the usual soaking, cleaning and degreasing baths for body, house and table linen, stomach and bleaching liquors for cotton, linen, washing liquors for raw wool, woolen rovings and fabrics . Degumming baths for silk, dye baths, printing inks, spray printing inks; Finishing agents, etc. added, whereby their effects are facilitated and supported.

They also offer advantages as additives to mercerising baths. They can also be used for jute, ramie and other fibers not mentioned above, for paper, paper yarn and straw, feathers, hair. Bristles, leather. In higher concentrations, they can be used as stain cleaners (detasher) for dissolving paints and for dry dyeing.
