   Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Flammrohrkessel, in dessen vorderen Teil eine grosse Feuerbüchse von elliptischen Querschnitt eingebaut ist, an welcher zwei oder mehrere Flammrohre anschliessen. Dieser grosse Feuerraum hat den Zweck, einen Wanderrost einbauen zu können, der die wirtschaftliche Verfeuerung von minderwertigem Brennstoff, besonders Koks, Koksgrus

Die bisher bekannten Flammrohrkessel mit geringem Flammrohrdurchmesser und die hiermit verbundene geringe   Rostfläche gestatteten   eine wirtschaftliche Ausnutzung von Koks u. dgl. 



  Brennstoffen nur in beschränktem Masse oder doch nur mit Hilfe verwickelter Einrichtungen. 



   Wie aus   der Zeichnung (Fig. 1)   im Längs-und'in Fig. 2 im Querschnitt ersichtlich ist, wird der Feuerraum aus der Vereinigung zweier oder mehrerer Flammrohre zu einem gemeinschaftlichen Raum hergestellt, an welchem die Flammrohre anschliessen. Für die Grossfeuerraumbüchse ist die elliptische Form gewählt worden, weil diese dem Kreis am nächsten kommende Form für die Festigkeit und die Verankerung sowie für den Wärmeaustausch am günstigsten ist. 



   In die elliptisch geformte Grossfeuerraumbüchse ist ein Wanderrost eingebaut, der es   ermöglicht.   minderwertigen Brennstoff zu verwenden.

The elliptical shape was chosen for the large fire liner because this shape, which comes closest to the circle, is most favorable for strength and anchoring as well as for heat exchange.



   A traveling grate is built into the elliptically shaped large fire box, which makes it possible. using poor quality fuel.
