Method of making aerial embroidery.
In the early days of air embroidery, attempts were made in a well-known manner to embroider on paper as an underlay. But because the paper has only a low tensile strength, fabric had to be used as an underlay material, and depending on the density or number of stitches of the pattern, a correspondingly dense fabric so as not to get an irregular pattern by warping the threads of the base fabric. In order to achieve the intended purpose, a lot of valuable raw material was used, which later had to be destroyed again during etching. Underlay fabrics have also already been used on which threads are attached before embroidery in order to achieve greater resistance to the embroidery.
In contrast, the invention consists of a method by which, in order to save valuable raw material, a thin, wide-meshed fabric which is glued to paper is embroidered. The paper gives the fine, little raw material containing. Thin-meshed fabric has a firm footing that does not contract when the embroidery thread is pulled and cannot result in faulty patterns.
An advantage of the invention is also based on the fact that when using colored paper, e.g. B. Even with ordinary brown paper, the fabric in connection with the paper substrate does not need to be colored. Rather, as it comes from the loom, it can be used for the present purpose.
In addition, in the known manner, the patterns stand out from the colored paper as from a fabric. As a result, faulty embroidery can also be more easily identified and repaired.
