Durch das den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildende Verfahren zur Herstellung von sammet- oder plüschartigen, erhabenen und vorzugsweise mehrfarbigen Stickarbeiten, wie Blumen, Arabesken. Der Grundstoff α (vergl. Dann werden mittelst der Hand oder mit der Nähmaschine nach bekannten Stickverfahren die Stofflagen mit den Stickfäden gemäfs einem herzustellenden Muster durchzogen, wodurch die Stofflagen auf einander geheftet werden (Fig. 1). Hierauf werden die Stickfäden auf der unteren Seite des Grundstoffes a mit einem Klebstoff überzogen oder sonstwie am Grundstoff festgemacht (Fig. 3), die Schlingenköpfe der Fadenstiche unterhalb der oberen Stoff lage nach Linie x-x in Fig. 2 abgeschnitten und die Stofflagen b nunmehr über die Schlingenfäden fortgezogen, so dafs der Grundstoff a mit den aufrechten, einen Flor bildenden Schiingenfäden c verbleibt (Fig. 3), welche das herzustellende Muster in erhabener, sammetartiger Arbeit bilden (Fig. 4).The base material α (see Fig. 1 of the accompanying drawing) on which the pattern is to be embroidered is covered on its right side with so many wide-meshed fabrics or other layers of material b that the layers of material form a layer one layer higher than that velvet or plush-like pattern should be raised on the base material (Fig. 2).
