Description

Double drum (writing capsule) with relieved membrane.

The present device is used to put writing: exercise from the cuff used to measure blood pressure. However, while the pulses obtained so far from the cuff were either staircase pulses or their different sizes were due to the difference in the transferring membranes, the present writing capsule delivers a pulse image without stepping effects with unchanged size and texture of the writing membrane. The intermediate balloons used in the earlier devices also fail.

Fig. 1 shows the device in an overall view, Fig. 2 shows a front view, Fig. 3 shows a drum in section with the writing capsule p and rod ei, Fig. 4 shows the axis of rotation of the writing lever and the engagement of the rod st.

Two Marey drumsticks, t, t ', the writing surfaces of which are supported against one another by the bracket b, communicate with one another when the cock h is in the middle position. A thick-walled rubber hose leads from this stopcock to a hose that leads from a pump to the cuff that is used to measure blood pressure. The drums t, t 'are covered with rubber membranes that are tied tightly to the thread. The hose line of the double drum is inserted into the cuff hose using a T-cock. In this way, the sleeve can be connected to the double drum or to one of the two drum t or t 'as required.

The writing levers s, s' hang in the vertical rod st, the
 EMI1.1
at the edges of the drums t, t 'acts like a lever. It engages close to the axis of rotation of the writing lever (FIG. 4) and thus projects above every movement of the membranes m, m 'on the writing lever s, s', their enlarged vibrations either optically or graphically
 EMI1.2
are drawn in natural gloss, the drums are in reality only half as deep.

The double drum forming the subject of the invention with an unloaded or relieved membrane has the following advantages:
 EMI1.3

     2. Since the capsule takes up little space, it can be conveniently and easily accommodated with any blood pressure monitor, especially with portable apparatus.

   3. Because the two rubber sockets are protected by being placed against one another, the device is less fragile than the simple Marey drum.

The pulse images obtained by the device are always the same writing
