    Verfahren zur Herstellung von Kieselgurkunststeinen, Platten, Schalen und dgl. aus Infusorienerde.   



   Es ist bekannt, Kunststeine, Platten, Schalen und dgl. aus fein verteilter und vorher   geglühter   Infusorienerde herzustellen, die man mit organischen Materien, alkalischer Erde, Tonerde, Kalk oder dgl. vermischt. Solche Erzeugnisse leiden an dem Nachteil, dass sie

 Temperatur gebrannt, dann vermahlen und auf   kultem Wege verwendet wird, ohne   dass ein nachträgliches Ausbrennen der Formlinge erforderlich ist. Die Erfindung ermöglicht es, die Infusorienerde in einem   Gewichtsverhaitnis mit   den Bindemitteln zu vermischen, bei welchem die letzteren eine untergeordnete Rolle spielen, so dass die Erzeugnisse beinahe rein aus Kieselgur bestehen. 



   Das Verfahren wird derart durchgeführt, dass ca. 80% der hochgebranuten Infusorienerde mit ca.   200 u des Bindemittels gemengt   werden und das Gemisch unter   Zusatz vos   Wasser zu einem   verhältnismässig dünnen Brei angerührt   und letzterer sodann in Formen gegosse   wild  
Nach   dem Abt'mden werden   die Formlinge ans den Formen. herausgenommen und getrocknet Ineselben zeigen eine gute Festigkeit, sind leicht und porös und besitzen ein grosses soliervermogen Als Beispiele der Mischung werden folgende Gewichtsverhältnisse angeführt :
1. 85% hochgebrannte Infusorienerde,
15% hydraulischer Kalk ;
280%hochgebrannteInfusorienerde. 



    100 ü Kalk.
