  Schmiermittel.

 EMI1.3
 benutzt wird.

  Lubricant.

It has been shown that molasses is an excellent lubricant which has the particular advantage of not gumming up, not solidifying and, if there is a change in consistency and viscosity due to evaporation, it can easily be returned to its original condition in the company.

The molasses can be used directly as it falls at the sugar factory. However, it is also possible to completely or partially remove the sugar present in the meat. In this case, the nonsugar substances act on the lubricity, while when the unchanged molasses is used, the sugars act together with the nonsugar substances.

The calcium salts present in the molasses can be converted into alkali salts according to known methods
 EMI1.1

The molasses can also be concentrated further before use or, if necessary, diluted with water.

If the molasses water should evaporate in the company, the original concentration can be restored by simply adding water.

The embodiment described below when using molasses as
 EMI1.2
the molasses draining off the machine parts or the like. The molasses running off is fed into an apparatus in which it is cooled if necessary and cleaned mechanically or the like, with any water that has evaporated being replaced by water or diluted molasses. The molasses that is renewed in this way is then returned to the machine parts to be lubricated. The method can be carried out in this way. that the molasses which
 EMI1.3
 is used.
