Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    Fliegenvertllger.

    Fly dealer.

   The invention relates to an apparatus for killing flies. It is characterized by a clay container b, which is closed below the upper edge with a top wall d in which there are a large number of holes e. The container is made of porous clay and is glazed on the outside. In the above-formed bowl-shaped depression, flies stone solution is poured, which flows through the holes e into the cavity c and soaks into the porous clay walls; the glaze prevents the solution from evaporating.

   When the apparatus is to be used, enough water is poured into the bowl-shaped recess so that the entire cavity c and part of the recess are filled with water. The water now causes a solution of the poison that has penetrated into the clay walls and thus becomes toxic, even if it is very weak.

   The device is placed in the room visited by the flies. Since the flies seek moisture, they will soon sip from the water and quickly perish.

   Because only the part of the solution located in the upper bowl is accessible to the animals, it does not have such a strong effect that larger pets, who accidentally take it, could suffer damage.

   Even the dead flies contain so little toxin that they can be given to the poultry as feed without any danger.

   A very simple apparatus is thus created, consisting of just one single device
Piece exists and can only be used by filling it with water.
