Bei Verbrennungskraftmaschinen mit hoher Verdichtung der Ladung vor der Entzündung ist es von Wichtigkeit, behufs Vermeidung der mit u hoher Verdichtung und Verbrennungs-Temperatur zusammenhängenden Übelstände, die Ladung bei der Verdichtung abzukühlen.
Nach vorliegender Erfindung wird dies durch Vergrösserung der Kühlflächen im Ver- brennungsraume erzielt, und zwar, indem entweder die Wände desselben mit Falten oder Rippen versehen werden, oder ein besonderer gekühlter Mctallkörper in den Verbrennungsraum hineinragt.
