Process for the production of self-contained hollow bodies made of paper, cardboard or the like.

The invention consists in a process for the production of self-contained hollow bodies made of paper, cardboard or the like, which are primarily intended to be used for absorbing high-tension gases.

To produce such a hollow body, a mold (core) made of wood or the like that corresponds to the interior thereof is first made. Some layers of paper are laminated over this core in a known manner. After drying, these layers were cut open along any circumferential line in order to be able to remove the core from the interior. Then the two shell parts are possibly provided with the necessary fittings and reassembled at their points of separation. A number of paper layers or the like are then laminated onto the hollow body thus obtained.

The number of layers is determined by how the hollow body is used.

Such self-contained hollow bodies produced by lamination are primarily suitable for receiving. high tension gases. like air, carbonic acid. Hydrogen and the like and can be used, for example, as air hoses for bikes on vehicles, and also as water and air torpedoes.

All materials suitable for lamination, such as paper, cardboard, linen, silk, etc., can be used to produce these hollow bodies, depending on the purpose of the container. The adhesives suitable for this purpose must also be selected on a case-by-case basis.
