 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

The subject matter of the invention relates to connecting rod bearings with a special bearing bushing provided with side flanges. According to the invention, this bushing is designed as a cage rotatable with respect to the crank pin and connecting rod head for rollers serving as bearing elements of the pin.

In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in one embodiment. Fig. 1 shows the front view with a sectioned roller bearing bush, while Fig. 2 illustrates the side view for this in section.

The foot part a, b of the connecting rod c is bushed out, namely the cage or Bushing halves d are provided with axially extending blind bores e arranged concentrically around the crank pin axis. In the case shown, these bores are alternately introduced into the socket (cage) d from one and the other end face of the connecting rod base. Rollers J-inserted or inserted into the bores e are secured against falling out by nipples 9 screwed into the bore ends. The rollers question here with part of their circumferential surface
 EMI1.2
on the other hand, approach the wall of the recess of the connecting rod base.

Accordingly, the rollers f touch the circumferential surface of the crank pin on the one hand and the wall of the bore in the connecting rod foot on the other hand and rotate in their bearing bores during the connecting rod movement in accordance with the movement of the crank pin i.

As a result, the crank pin friction is considerably reduced compared to the pin friction that occurs with the customary crank rods and only the rollers f need to be replaced when wear occurs at the pressure or friction points.

At the same time, the roller cage acts, i.e. H. the bushing d as a result of the bearing in the connecting rod base also against pressures exerted laterally on the roller bearing.
