Befindet sich die Vorrichtung in der durch die Fig. 1 veranschaulichten Stellung und wird das Treibseil 7 in der Richtung des Pfeiles a bewegt, so erhalten die auf den hiebei in Umdrehung versetzten beiden Scheiben 8 stehenden Werkstücke 9 eine Drehbewegung um die eigene Achse, während gleichzeitig die zum Schleifen und Polieren dienenden Körper 19 bzw. 19a gegen den Oberrand der Werkstücke gedrückt werden. Hiebei werden letztere bearbeitet, worauf die Vorrichtung durch Verschwenken um die Achse 1 um 120 im Sinne des Pfeiles a1 (Fig. 1) von Hand aus weitergeschaltet wird.
Auf diese Weise kommt das jeweils durch die Poliervorrichtung bearbeitete Werkstück samt seiner Trag-und Antriebsvorrichtung in eine Stellung, in welcher diese der Wirkung des Treibseiles 7 entzogen ist, so dass das Werkstück durch Hochheben der bezüglichen Achse 11 samt Stempel 10 herausgenommen und durch ein erst zu bearbeitendes Werkstück ersetzt werden kann. Inzwischen sind jedoch die der Schleif-und Poliervorrichtung gegenüberstehenden Werkstücke bearbeitet worden. Bei einer weiteren Verschwenkung der Vorrichtung um 1200 gelangt das zu schleifende Werkstück unter die Schleifvorrichtung, das bisher von dieser bearbeitete Werkstück unter die Poliervorrichtung und das von letzterer polierte Werkstück zwecks Auswechslung mit einem noch nicht bearbeiteten Werkstück auf die vorhin erwähnte Stelle.
Bei der zwecks Weiterschaltung erfolgenden Verschwenkung der Vorrichtung werden die Fühlhebel 20, 21 durch die Anschwellungen 16a aus der Einsenkung 76 im Sinne des Pfeiles bl (Fig. 3) gehoben, so dass die Schleif-und Polierkörper den Werkstücken ausweichen.

If the device is in the position illustrated by FIG. 1 and the driving rope 7 is moved in the direction of arrow a, the workpieces 9 standing on the two disks 8 which have been set in rotation receive a rotary movement around their own axis while at the same time the body 19 or 19a used for grinding and polishing are pressed against the upper edge of the workpieces. The latter are processed, whereupon the device is indexed by hand by pivoting about axis 1 by 120 in the direction of arrow a1 (FIG. 1).
In this way, the workpiece processed by the polishing device, together with its support and drive device, is in a position in which it is withdrawn from the action of the driving rope 7, so that the workpiece is removed by lifting the relevant axis 11 together with the punch 10 and workpiece to be machined can be replaced. In the meantime, however, the workpieces facing the grinding and polishing device have been processed. With a further pivoting of the device by 1200, the workpiece to be ground comes under the grinding device, the workpiece previously processed by this under the polishing device and the workpiece polished by the latter for the purpose of replacement with a workpiece that has not yet been processed at the aforementioned point.
