Process for manufacturing electrical capacitors.
The present invention relates to the manufacture and Ban of electrical capacitors in the cheapest and easiest possible way. Up to now, the rotatable plate capacitors in particular have been manufactured in such a way that metal plates not less than 1 mm thick are straightened as much as possible and a larger number are fixed on top of one another with a spacing of at least 3 mm with dielectric material. While it would be beneficial to choose thinner plates and smaller spacing, this has not been possible before. The straightening of the plates cut to the sheet metal already causes great difficulties and when screwing the plate sets together it can easily happen that the plates bend and, as a result, the distance between the plates becomes uneven.
The capacitor manufactured according to the method described in German patent specification No. 240078 shows great progress. According to this method, the plates are obtained from a full block by milling, and it is true that smaller capacitors with a large capacity can be produced using this method; however, the method of their production is very laborious and expensive and, even with panels less than 1 mm thick, cannot be milled out. There is also the problem (1 that the slabs have a rough surface as a result of the milling work.
The best capacitor will be the one that has the largest capacity and the cheapest price with the smallest dimensions, the lowest weight, great strength and good insulation.
In order to achieve these properties, while avoiding all of the above inconveniences, the construction and the following manufacturing method described below have been invented. The

Each set of plates forms a coherent body that is cast under pressure, e.g. H. by so-called injection molding. The plates, intermediate pieces and fastening parts for the plate set are thus produced as a single piece at the same time, so that the parts, in particular the plates, can no longer move or bend against one another. Several such plates can be arranged and connected next to or on top of one another in order to achieve even greater capacities.
Hei use of e.g. For example, pairing 20 plates with semicircular plates of 50 mm diameter, a variable capacitor can be produced which has a capacity of about 6 c in diameter, 2 cm in height and about 200 g in weight at 2000. Otherwise, the usual arrangement of the capacitors remains the same. Depending on requirements, the plate

less are brought to congruence, whereby the capacity is changed in a known manner.
