  Verfahren zur Herstellung der Befestigungsstifte für künstliche Zähne. 



   Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren zur Herstellung der zur Befestigung künstlicher Zähne an ihrem Träger dienenden Stifte, die aus einem mit einem Überzug versehenen Kern bestehen ; insbesondere soll das Verfahren Verwendung finden zur Herstellung von Stiften mit einem Kern aus Unedelmetall und einem Überzug aus Edelmetall. 



   Es ist bereits bekannt, derartige Stifte in der Weise herzustellen, dass von einem Draht, der mit Edelmetall überzogen ist, Stücke von der für die Stifte erforderlichen Länge   abgeschmolzen   werden. Dadurch wird jedoch an den Stiftenden kein Überzug aus reinem Edelmetall, sondern einer Legierung desselben mit dem unedlen Kernmetall erhalten, so dass bei dem Brennen der mit den Stiften versehenen Zähne die Stiftenden oxydiert werden. 



   Dieser Nachteil wird durch das neue Verfahren beseitigt, und zwar dadurch, dass vor dem Herstellen des Überzuges an den Enden Massnahmen getroffen werden, um die Hülle aus Edelmetall über den Kern soweit vorstehen zu lassen, dass aus dem vorstehenden   Stück der End-   versohluss geformt werden kann (Fig. 1). 



   Der zwischen Kern und Hülle erforderliche   Längenunterschied   wird dadurch erhalten, dass das Kernmaterial auf eine gewisse Tiefe durch chemische Mittel entfernt wird.

   The subject of the invention is a process for the production of the pins which are used to attach artificial teeth to their support and which consist of a core provided with a coating; In particular, the method is intended to be used for the production of pins with a core made of base metal and a coating made of noble metal.



   It is already known to produce such pins in such a way that pieces of the length required for the pins are melted from a wire which is coated with precious metal. As a result, however, no coating of pure noble metal is obtained on the pin ends, but an alloy of the same with the base metal, so that the pin ends are oxidized when the teeth provided with the pins are burned.



   This disadvantage is eliminated by the new method, namely that, before the production of the coating at the ends, measures are taken to let the shell of noble metal protrude over the core to such an extent that the protruding piece is formed into the end cap can (Fig. 1).



   The length difference required between core and shell is obtained by removing the core material to a certain depth by chemical means.
