EMI1.1

EMI1.1
In parent patent no. 58776 a method is given in which individual particles of a brittle metal, e.g. B. tungsten, be provided with a coating of a ductile metal in a known manner by galvanic or chemical means. The powder prepared in this way is z. B. firmly rammed into a ductile metal pipe under pressure and then rolled together with this metal. It has been found that it is difficult to completely remove the air residues from such a pipe.
In the parent patent it was also indicated how the individual particles of the brittle metal are provided with a shell made of thin metal and how these particles are united by pressure to form a mass. In doing so, the individual particles of the brittle metal are completely or partially coated with a layer of the ductile metal, ideally by galvanic or chemical means. It has now been shown that if the amount of ductile metal is suitably dimensioned, a mass obtained in this way can be continued, possibly with simultaneous use by direct rolling
EMI1.2
Position of incandescent bodies for electric light bulbs very suitable work piece.
This process makes do with small amounts of the auxiliary metal and it is possible to precisely determine the required amount of ductile metal when producing the coating. Compared to the process with the ductile pipe, this process offers the advantage of a much more intimate connection between the brittle core material and the ductile metal coating. With this method, a very uniform end product can be produced and safe working is possible.
The auxiliary metal is removed in a known manner either by melting or by mechanical or chemical means, after the rolling process has been continued for a sufficiently long time.
