Das Glasieren, Emaillieren odd Einsetzen von gebrannten Ton-, Porzellan- oder dgl.
Platten beansprucht mit den bisherigen Verfahren viel Arbeit, indem die einzelnen Platten mit der grössten Sorgfalt und einzeln in den Ofen gebracht werden müssen, damit die einzelnen Platten nicht aneinanderkleben. Auch beim Glasieren oder Emaillieren sowie beim Einsetzen müssen die Platten einzeln in die Hand genommen werden.
Gemäss vorliegender Erfindung geschieht das Giasieren, Emaillieren und Einsetzen ohne die einzelnen Platten in die Hand nehmen zu müssen, wodurch an Zeit und Arbeitskraft gespart wird.
Das Wesen der Erfindung besteht darin, dass die Ton-, Porzellan-oder dgl. Platten vor dem Glasieren, Emaillieren oder Einsetzen auf Papier oder dgl. derart geklebt werden, dass die auf Papier oder dgl. geklebten Plattengruppen gleichzeitig, d. h. auf einmal in den Brennofen gebracht werden können. Die Oberfläche der Platten kann auf einmal mit Pinsel, Farbwalze oder auf eine andere beliebige Weise glasiert oder emailliert werden. Ausserdem können die Platten in einer der Grösse des als Unterlage benutzten Papiers entsprechenden Fläche in einem Arbeitsgang eingesetzt werden. Ein derartiges Aufkleben auf eine provisorische Unterlage ist zur Herstellung von Mosaiken und dgl. bereits vorgeschlagen worden.
Bei diesem bekannten Verfahren werden die auf der provisorischen Unterlage dem zu erzielenden Muster entsprechend befestigten Steinchen durch Auftragen von Mörtel oder dgl. miteinander verkittet (vgl. z. B. D. R. P. Nr. 29332 und Nr. 138698 und die amerikanische Patentschrift Nr. 538311).
Gemäss einer zweckmässigen Ausführungsform wird auf eine Holzplatte ein Rahmen gelegt, in welchem ein Netz ausgespannt ist, dessen Maschenweite der Grösse der Platten entspricht. Die zu glasierenden, emaillierenden oder einzusetzenden Platten werden auf das Netz geschüttet, und durch Hin-und Herbewtgen des Rahmens fallen die Platten in die Maschen derart, dass deren Oberflächen eine Ebene bilden. Hierauf wird auf die Oberfläche der Platten ein mit Klebstoff überzogenes und der Grösse des Rahmens entsprechendes Papier oder dgl. und auf das letztere eine zweite Holzplatte gelegt und das Ganze umgekehrt, so dass die Unterlagsplatte oben liegt, welche sodann mit dem Rahmen entfernt werden kann.
Nach dem Trocknen des Klebstoffes wird die Oberfläche der Platten glasiert oder emailliert und das Papier mit den Platten in den Brennofen gebracht, wo das Papier abbrennt.
