Von Zeit zu Zeit hebt man durch Drehung des Ritzels/'die Weie ( und damit auch den Fräser c hoch, wobei Voraussetzung ist, dass sich die Spindel 9 dreht, die die Welle d bei der Drehung mitnimmt.
Der Fräser c arbeitet nun die durch den ursprünglichen Gehalt an Reduktionskohle verhältnismässig bröckeligen Ansätze i weg. Hierauf wird die Welle d wieder gesenkt, so dass der Fräser selbst nur kurze Zeit der hohen Temperatur ausgesetzt ist.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Vorrichtung zur Beseitigung der an der unteren Mündung von stehenden Retorten bei der Zinkgewinnung erhärteten Schlacken, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein sich drehender Bohrer oder Fräser und eine Transportvorrichtung (Schnecke) an der unteren Mündung der Retorten im Bereiche der sich ansetzenden Schlackenkrusten angeordnet sind.
