   Den Vorteilen der Befeuerung von Dampfkesseln mittels Generatorengas, die vorzugsweise in der   überlegenen   Wirtschaftlichkeit, der Erhöhung der Leistungsfähigkeit der Kessel, dem sauberen Betrieb und der Einfachheit der Bedienung bestehen, stehen schwerwiegende Nachteile gegenüber, die vor allem in der Schwierigkeit einer vollkommenen Verbrennung durch zweckmässige Mischung des Gases und der Luft sowie in der Explosionsgefahr, bedingt durch das Zurückschlagen der Flamme, bestehen. 



   Zweck der vorliegenden Erfindung ist, einen Generatorengasbrenner zu schaffen, der bei kompendiöser Bauart eine innige Mischung des Gases mit der Verbrennungsluft ermöglicht und ein   Zurückschlagen   der Flamme   ausschliesst.   



   Dieser Zweck wird durch die Teilung des Brenners in eine Gas- und Luftkammer bei getrennter Zuführung des Gases und der Luft in den Verbrennungsraum erreicht, indem die Luftdüsen gegen die   Gasdüsen zurückversetzt   sind und die Luft   unter   Druck mit grosser Geschwindigkeit durch ihre   Ausströmungskana. ! e hindurchgepresst wird. Bei dieser Anordnung,   die sich von dem meist üblichen konzentrischen Zusammenbau der Gas- und Luftdüsen wesentlich unterscheidet, wird das aus den vorspringenden Düsen ausströmende Gas von der hinter dem Gasaustritt mit grosser Geschwindigkeit zuströmenden Luft erfasst und gleichsam von den Düsen abgerissen, so dass ein Zurückschlagen der Flamme vollkommen ausgeschlossen ist.
