Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Dabei zeigt:
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Ansicht einer erfindungsgemässen Schmucksteinformation,
Fig. 2 eine entsprechende Ansicht von oben,
Fig. 3 einen Schnitt entlang der Linie A-A in Fig. 2,
Fig. 4 das Detail B in Fig. 3 in Vergrösserung und
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The present invention relates to a gemstone formation with a plurality of
Precious stones.
Fashion and jewelry designers in particular often express the wish
Get gemstone formations supplied with a variety of gemstones that can be easily processed. It is essential that the gemstones are stably embedded. Furthermore, it is particularly important for fashion applications that a type of fixation is found that ensures high deformability.
The embedding of gemstones in a has become known in this context
Metal mesh, this processing variant is associated with relatively high costs.
As a cost-effective alternative, the present invention provides that the gemstones are embedded in a silicone layer.
The silicone layer provides a secure hold for the gemstones on the one hand and is highly bendable and deformable on the other hand, so that the gemstone formation can be processed in many different ways. In addition, a section of any size can easily be cut off with a knife or scissors.
For an optimal anchoring of the gemstones, it is favorable if the gemstones are embedded in the silicone layer to the extent of their largest diameter.
The tensile strength of the silicone layer can be increased by additionally embedding a fabric layer in the silicone layer. A transparent plastic fabric is particularly suitable.
The method according to the invention provides that the gemstones are first arranged on a sticky transfer film and immersed in a flat silicone bath by means of this transfer film, the transfer film being removed after the silicone has hardened.
This process ensures simple and inexpensive processing.
Further features and details of the present invention result from the following description of the figures. It shows:
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
1 is a perspective view of a gemstone formation according to the invention,
2 shows a corresponding view from above,
3 shows a section along the line A-A in FIG. 2,
Fig. 4 shows the detail B in Fig. 3 in magnification and
5 to 8 the process steps according to the invention in a schematic representation.
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, there is one in the gemstone formation according to the invention
A large number of gemstones 1 embedded in a silicone layer 2. The silicone layer 2 is usually colorless and adapted in thickness to the size of the gemstones 1.
The gemstones 1 are preferably stones made of cut (faceted) glass, which can be transparent or colored. Any other real or fake gemstones can also be used.
In the area of the tips of the gemstones 1 there is a plastic fabric 3 in the silicone layer
2 poured in to increase the tensile strength.
4 that the gemstones 1 are embedded in the silicone layer 2 up to the area of their largest diameter, so that there is a form-fitting hold.
The method according to the invention is explained below with reference to FIGS. 5 to 8:
The processing device has an upper plate 4a and a lower plate 4b. A sticky transfer film 5 is arranged on the upper plate 4a. The gemstones 1 stick to the transfer film 5 with their flat top, any arrangement, legal or chaotic, can be selected.
Opposite is on the lower plate 4b within the boundary 6 the initially still liquid silicone layer 2 of about 1 mm thick. 6, the gemstones 1 are immersed in this silicone layer 2 by lowering the upper plate 4a.
As soon as the silicone layer 2 has hardened, the device can be turned so that the upper plate 4a is now at the bottom. After attaching a somewhat higher boundary 7 (see FIG. 8), the fabric layer 3 can now be placed on the side of the silicone layer 2 facing away from the gemstones 1, with additional items subsequently being applied
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
liquid silicone is applied, which preferably completely envelops the fabric layer 3.
In the last process step, the silicone layer 2 together with the embedded gemstones 1 is detached from the transfer film 5.
