An dem Knebel wird nunmehr durch Drehung das Laufwerk aufgezogen und der aus dem Loch im Zahnrad y herausgehobene Stift r   gleitet, während   unter ihm das Zahnrad gedreht wird, auf dessen Oberfläche und verhindert, ein Zurückschnellen des Kolbens. Nach Ablauf des Laufwerkes kommt das Zahnrad wieder in die Ruhestellung und der Kolben mit dem Stift, der auf dem Zahnrad herumgeglitten ist, wird nunmehr von der Feder   u   in die Ruhelage geschnellt, indem der Stift in das Loch s im Zahnrad q eindringt. Der Kolben wirkt hiebei die Luft verdrängend und bringt das Kolbenventil im Zünder in die   Anfangsstellung zurück   wodurch der Gasweg abgesperrt wird.
